Dear family,
My mother the late, Evelyn Clark Pierson, thought the world of her nephew, Bobby. While he lived in Pittsburgh, PA for a short time, she was delighted to have one of her family members from Tennessee in Pittsburgh. I will always appreciate my cousin for loving his Aunt Evelyn. I will miss him and his smile and laughter.

Bobby Clark was a leader of significance in the American labor movement, serving as national secretary-treasurer of the United Electrical Workers (UE) in the 1990s, a challenging period when unions were struggling against plant closings and the continuing erosion of workers' rights.
I had the good fortune of working alongside Bobby in those years and remember both his drive to advance the interests of the working class and how his sense of humor helped us all endure in trying times.
I also recall a fishing trip in the Adirondacks when he came back to shore claiming to have hooked a bass so large it had pulled the canoe he was fishing in halfway across the bay. He insisted the trophy-sized fish was real even though no one else ever saw it. The fish got bigger each time he told the story and the story spread. For years afterward I had a cousin in that part of the country who would ask when that Milwaukee fisherman was coming back.
Condolences to Bobby's family and to his many friends from UE Local 1111 in Milwaukee.
