I knew you were special from the first day I met you in the Fall of 86’ at Beloit College. You always had a way to uplift the spirit of others around you. You were always trying to find a way to serve others. You loved your family so much! I am so glad that I was able to have one last classic session with you via Zoom! We took that virtual tour through our journey through life. I felt like we had more stories in us, but God called you home for a much bigger assignment. We will miss you Corey! You will never be forgotten my brother.

Mr. Corey Jackson, took Kenny, Ray, and I under his wing when he came to Kentucky State University to do a STEM camp where we worked as counselors for him and from that time forward we were family. We used to come to Milwaukee in the summer's to work the STEM camp for a few years and even after we came to see him and the family. We loved each and every moment that we were able to spend with him because he helped teach us how to become men and also instilled values to give back and help others. We will continue his legacy as we help at risk youth. We are here for you Momma Karen, Jalen, and Lindsey.
Love you,
Todd Quire and family, Kenny Jones, and Raymond Hampton, Jr.

To my friend, CJ, I will miss you. We started a friendship our freshman year in college and it has been a blessing talking and laughing with you for the past 34 years. Although, you have been called home to glory, I think about our 4 college years playing football together, playing spades in the dorm room, hanging out on campus, playing together in 3 on 3 tournaments in the city and of course playing chess and dominoes are just a few of the many memories that will always keep a smile on face. In addition to those memories, it's knowing you will no longer have to deal with anymore pain and that you are at peace in heaven helps me understand why I must wipe the tears from face. I'm so glad we were able to talk and laugh one more time just 2 weeks ago when I came to see in the hospital. CJ, rest in peace my friend and my brother. To Karen, Lindsey and Jalen, know that you are in my prayers during difficult time. Much love, Tommy Davis

I will always believe that people loved Corey because he made sure that anyone he interacted with he made feel comfortable. Corey always made you feel like you were part of his family. Which meant that he supported you and accepted you for who you were. He connected with everyone, whether you were a black male like himself or transgender. Corey believed in you and helped us believe in ourselves. I am not sure why I called him "Home team", I guessed it was because you are always supposed to support your home team no matter what. Corey had a belief to put others first, indeed a great example of a humanitarian. He would never leave anyone behind or not help them when they needed it, even if that meant he would be without. That drove me crazy because I could not understand why he would do that. It took some decades to figure it out, but I eventually got it. Corey has always been a guardian angel. He now continues his job in a different way. How fortunate are we to have Corey watching over us! He no doubt will be missed, but I will spend more days laughing then I will crying because his memories just make you smile.Too many stories to share and not enough space, besides Corey's stories are best told with a drink in hand and a beautiful day worthy of one of his many cookouts. Blessed to have called him a friend, teammate, and brother.
Talk to you soon "Home Team"!

Corey was the truest form of a Real Man. He cherished God, his amazing family and too many friends to count. He never met a stranger and treated all equally. His spirit will soar amongst the Heavens and continue to encourage us to live life to the fullest. Well done good and faithful servant you have earned eternal rest. I will miss you my friend.

My earliest memories are of you and Uncle Gene, but I don’t think it was until college that I understood the importance of having you, both. I am glad that we were able to spend the time that we could, then, as it allows me to have no regrets now. I’m glad to know you are at peace. My thoughts are with family, I remember when Corey first brought Karen home to see Grandma Betty! He was coming back and forth, from college in Beloit (I believe, I was young). Such a beautiful family unit, I wish I could be home. I love you all and pray for your closure, his memories will always be.
