May you all find strength in the Lord, family, and friends. This message is from Edith, Michael’s first cousin. My late Mother, Lois loved your family. These are hard times but our strength comes from the love of others. Love you, Nancy and family

I have so many wonderful memories of Uncle Lonnie. Family reunions, Sunday dinners, holidays. Just so much fun laughing and loving. He is such an important part of our family. A model to me of a man after God’s heart. A man not afraid to love in actions and words. I will miss you so very much Uncle Lonnie.

When I think of Lonnie, I think of an awesome big brother that loved his family! His smile was contagious; when he smiled, you couldn’t help but to smile back! I thank God Lonnie was able to come visit my family and I in TN for our Amazing Family Thanksgiving. Lonnie was an Amazing brother, and he will truly be missed! I love you Lonnie, this is not goodbye, it’s “See You Later!”
Love you, your sis, Nettie

I’m taking it all the way back (with my pic). This is the Best Family you can ever be in. I am honored to call each of you my family, AMAZING, that’s what we are! Lonnie was the brother that always looked out for you and have a smile on his face. If you wasn’t around he would let you know, but oh so sweetly. He could sing, cook, and eat. We are a healthy family can’t you tell. I will miss you brother but I will see you again, singing in that heavenly choir and eating at the Fathers table. You looked so peaceful, rest my brother rest. I keep myself busy with things I do, But every time I pause I still think of you. LOVE!!!

We are praying for the Kincaid family during this time of grief and loss. Please know that Dr. Wm. Dwight Sr. and Lady Vera McKissic, along with the Cornerstone Baptist Church family, are lifting up the entire family in prayer. Words seem inadequate to express the hurt and pain felt through the loss of Lonnie. We are here to support Nancy and Michael Copeland in Texas through their grieving process. Knowing that the family is unable to all come together has to add to the compounding pain you all must feel. Rest assured that Jesus knows, He cares, and He will comfort you through this process. If the Kincaid family needs anything, Cornerstone Baptist Church in Arlington, TX is just a call away.
"May your unfailing love be my comfort, according to your promise to your servant." - Psalm 119:76

My fondest memory is how y’all would say Lonnie would play possum, pretend to be sleeping while the other brothers would get him up and put him to bed. Then open his eyes and say “thank y’all for all that good stuff”. That’s what I was thinking when I saw him the last time, he didn’t wake up so I have to say “ Thank you God for giving me such a loving wonderful brother, you let us have him for 69 years and now you have called him to rest with you “. Miss you my brother...

Lonnie was the youngest of my four brothers. We grew up in Brooksville, MS. I shared a memory with one of my brothers the other day. Three of them, Wallace, Maurice and Lonnie did a lot together. One day while down in the back woods they were smoking, somehow Lonnie set the woods on fire, but my Dad refuse to believe that little Lonnie would even try smoking so the punished Wallace and Maurice for the incident with one of those talks that you would have rather gotten the wiping instead. But Lonnie was an AWESOME present in our family love and appreciated by so, so many and will be remembered and missed by all of us!!!
With Love,
Big Sister Berniece
