Obituary of Mr. Trenton DeBerry

Trenton Kayes De Berry passed away surrounded by family on August 24, 2022, he was 26 years old. Growing up, Trenton was raised as his mothers only child. He was blessed with cousins and friends that became like brothers and sisters to him. Eager to become a star/musician, with his helpful spirit, Trenton began to perform in front of crowds during school programs at the age of 3. He was often asked to MC programs during his grade school years. During his middle/high school years, he self-taught himself to play piano and guitar while taking vocal lessons after school. In high school he and friends formed their band, "Dead Inside". He continued to perform with the band after graduating from high school with honors, but gave his life to God and joined the church choir. As  solo artist "VIP Dirty", he found joy in collaborative efforts in the rock, R & B and rap genres.

Trenton is survived by his parents Kanya (Barbara & LA) and Dante (Betty & James), his son Damian, 3 sisters, 3 brothers and a host of honorary grandparents, aunts, uncles, sisters, brothers, and cousins. In lieu of funeral services, and to honor Trenton's wishes, a memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 4, 2022 from 2P-4P at Serenity Funeral Home. Instead of the traditional repass, we will continue to celebrate Trenton on Sunday June 4, 2023 which will be the 27th anniversary of his birth.
