Obituary of Mr. Timothy M. Copening January 30, 1971-August 25, 2023

Timothy Mark Copening was born on January 30, 1971, to Delores Copening and Hilary Boddie, Jr. in Oakland, California.  He received his formal education within the Milwaukee Public Schools System.

As a loving father, Timothy had three beautiful children with Tina Finch.

Timothy accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of Believers in Christ Ministries under the leadership of Bishop Cheryl McBride Brown.

Timothy enjoyed spending time with his family and loved them dearly.  Undoubtedly, Timothy had a great sense of humor and was a full-time jokester.  His jovial personality was one of his many attributes.

Behind his joking demeanor and his beautiful smile, Timothy was a hard worker who was committed to the care of his clients as a healthcare professional.  He worked for more than 25 years in healthcare with in-home services for children, adult care, and foster care.  Timothy was an excellent caregiver who had a nurturing heart and was committed to the care of his clients and patients.  In his professional and personal life, he was always seeking to make each day better than the day before.   

Timothy M. Copening was preceded in death by: daughter, Chatelah Monique Copening; cousin, Marterio Taper; aunt, LaFondra Copening; and grandmother, Juanita Copening;

He leaves to cherish his memory:  Mother, Delores Copening of Milwaukee, WI; Father, Hilary Boddie, Jr. of Chicago, IL; two sisters, Nina Copening and Casandra Copening of Milwaukee, WI; two daughters, Timeka Marie Copening and Teairra Juanita Copening of Milwaukee, WI; four step-children, Martez Finch, Jonas Graves, Marcus Graves, and Tanesha Graves of Milwaukee, WI;  five grandchildren, Rakim Hogan, Daniyah Terry, Don Smith, Jr., Dontray Smith, Italy Smith; aunt, Althea Taper; uncle, Wilbert Copening (Roberta Copening); nephew, Maurice Copening; cousins, Robert Copening, Sean Copening, Tory Copening, Kimeko Copening, Nicole Copening, Jennifer Copening, Donchae Taper; dear friend, Mary Rice, and a host of other relatives and friends.
